Great for Geocaching
I wasn’t sure which GPS to get for Geocaching… I have a navigation system in my car, so I really didn’t want to spend a bunch of money.

Runners aid
Uncanny accuracy when linked to the PC software (supplied). If you run/walk with a small pack and don’t mind carrying this it gives great data re route, speed etc and can be used…

Value for $$ trekking GPS
I have used a friend’s etrex legend and vista HCx before. Decided to get the Venture HC due to it’s low price. At $130, it’s excellent value for money.

Poor documentation
Well confusing and incomplete documentation. The unit I received was even broken. You could not upload maps to it.

Cheap device – expensive price
Well, this item is pretty typical of a bottom end electronic gadget these days. Extremely user hostile without the slightest attention paid to the interface or usability.

Killer performance

Works great, very accurate. Instructions were not very good… a bit more of a learning curve than I expected.
